Meadow Springs PC: Music Director

Overview

The Music Director provides musical support during worship services, including special services and church events. The Music Director assists in the selection of music, prepares it for presentation for Sunday and special services, and accompanies the choir at services/events.

Responsibilities

• Meet weekly with the Pastor and staff to plan worship and special services/events

• Work with the Pastor to identify appropriate new music and assist in song selection for services/events

• Meet monthly with the Worship Ministry Team to understand and help plan overall direction for worship and music

• Organize and lead weekly rehearsals with the choir/ensemble.

• Work together with and accompany choir/ensemble each Sunday from September through May

• Accompany congregation during worship each Sunday

• Communicate with the relevant staff person(s) by Wednesday of each week with the titles of hymns, anthems, praise songs, and any other special music for inclusion in projections and/or bulletins
