GRANTS
GRANTING FUNDS FOR MINISTRY
Since 2009 Northwest Coast Presbytery has provided over $497,000 in grants to over 64 projects in our congregations to bless their communities. We call it the “Community Blessing Grant Program”.
There are also grants available for:
New Worshiping Communities and other ways our congregations are trying to grow indispensable to their communities.
Miriam Snow Mathes Memorial Internship Fund
For congregations to host ministry internships in NWC Presbytery. Become a teaching congregation! Recent recipients include Tierra Nueva for Andrew Lewis’s apprenticeship.
Katie Allen Scholarship Grants
For seminarians to help pay seminary education expenses including tuition, books, fees, travel. Recent recipients include Valerie Grissom (Calvin PC).
Peacemaking Grants
For activities, conferences and education that supports peacemaking.
Recent recipients include Community Church of Seattle Bike-a-thon to raise funds for drilling water wells in Honduras, First PC Everett for Yucatan Helping Hands and Medical Mission in Guatemala.
Armenta Merchant Memorial Fund
Especially for small churches Clallam Bay and Neah Bay on the Olympic Peninsula and for New Worshiping Communities/New Churches in NWC Presbytery.
Recent recipients include Tidelands Missional Community and Clallam Bay PC.
Tall Timber Ranch Scholarships
Camper scholarships are reviewed and awarded by Tall Timber Ranch. To apply simply do so when you register for camp at www.talltimber.org
Youth Triennium Scholarships
For Middle School and High School students to attend the Nationwide PC(USA) Youth Triennium at Purdue University in Indiana. Next triennium is July 2022.
